• Remove the brow band from the bridle.
• Lay it flat on a smooth surface.
• Measure, in inches, from one end loop to the other end loop end, including the loops that attach to the bridle.
• Ignore any shape the brow band may have — just measure the straight length.

In this diagram, the brow bands are 16″.

The loop size can be difficult to determine.

DOUBLE AND DRAFT BRIDLES: Some double and draft bridles (18″) MIGHT be greater than 1″ wide at the area where the brow band attaches to the bridle. They may therefore require a large loop size as they are wider and/or thicker.

HORSE AND WARMBLOOD BRIDLES: Most horse and warmblood bridles are 1″ wide at the area where the brow band attaches to the bridle. All my stock brow bands (16″ and 17″) have a medium (standard) loop size since this fits most standard horse and warmblood bridles.

PONY AND COB BRIDLES: Pony and cob bridles MIGHT be less than 1″ wide at the area where the brow band attaches to the bridle. My pony and cob brow bands have a small loop size to accommodate this.

It is recommended that you measure your bridle and order the needed loop size.

• Use your favorite riding belt as a measurement model.
• Lay it flat on a smooth surface.
• Measure, in inches, from the end of the buckle to your “favorite” belt hole.
• Provide this measurement to me.
• Your belt will have five belt holes with your “favorite” belt hole in the middle.
